Neck Lift, neck liposuction or double chin surgeries are popular facial liposuction procedures for patients who struggle with surplus fatty deposits on the neck and lower face. Since there’s no real way to exercise the face into losing fat, facial liposuction may be the only solution. During the procedure, excess fat is removed from the neck and lower face to restore a youthful angularity to the area. This cannula is inserted through a tiny incision placed under the chin and results in no visible scarring. Using a suction pump attached to the cannula the fat cells are extracted. Facial liposuction permanently removes fat cells to improve the facial contour. After the procedure, someone will need to drive you home. It’s important to rest for at least 24 hours. Mild over-the-counter pain relievers such as Tylenol, Aleve, or Advil may be needed along with cold packs for a few days. Downtime is minimal, and most patients resume normal activities after 2 to 4 days.
