What is Sculptra?
As an alternative to fillers that use hyaluronic acid, cosmetic surgeon Dr. George Solomon offers his patients in Tampa, Sculptra, a synthetic injectable filler, composed of poly-L-lactic acid that gradually works to fill depressions in the skin by replacing lost collagen. A standard Sculptra treatment involves three injection sessions over a few months and has been shown to last up to two years in some patients.
How does Sculptra work?
Injected into the deep dermis, Sculptra replaces collagen that has been lost due to aging. By reinforcing the collagen structure of the facial tissues, Sculptra gradually and subtly improves the skin, softening deep wrinkles and folds.
When will I see results from Sculptra?
Scultptra results are not seen immediately. While results may be noticeable within the first few weeks, Sculptra is designed to improve the appearance of the skin over a long period of time by targeting the underlying causes of wrinkles and fine lines.
How long does Sculptra last?
The staff at Solomon Cosmetic Center in Tampa, will help schedule all three of your Sculptra treatments. The results from Sculptra can last for up to two years in some patients but actual results vary from patient to patient.
What is the recovery time of a Sculptra treatment?
Each Sculptra treatment will take about fifteen to twenty minutes, with little or no downtime. Common side effects include injection site pain, bruising, bleeding, itching, swelling, or bumps under the skin of the treated area.
*Each patient is unique; therefore, results of treatment may vary.
