How Do You Prepare for Brachioplasty?

Before you undergo an arm lift, you will have a consultation with Dr. George Solomon. During the consultation, he will review your medical history, perform a physical exam and talk about your expectations. He will ask about any medications you are taking and may recommend that you avoid certain medications immediately preceding your surgery.

What Is Involved in an Arm Lift?

Once the tumescent anesthesia has been administered, Dr. Solomon will make incisions under your arms and begin suctioning the fat out of your arm area. Once he is finished, the incisions will be closed using stitches. Brachioplasty typically takes about two hours. After the procedure is done, your incisions will be covered with bandages and small tubes will be put in your arms to remove any excess blood and fluid.

Are There Any Risks with Brachioplasty?
