How long should you wait after Facial Fillers to have Fat Transfer to the Face? Dr. Solomon answers…
The interesting thing about fat, is you really don’t have to wait. Even if you had recent fillers or something like that, and you wanted to in a couple months or something you wanted to switch and do fat, you can still do fat. As long as there is a volume loss, yes, you can do the Fat Transfer. The only acception to that would be if you use let’s say, Sculptra, and Sculptra takes a long time for it to kick in, so I would probably wait until whatever effect that you’re going to get from Sculptra in place before you do the Fat Transfer so you don’t have a puffy face.
Fat transfer adds natural youthfulness back into the face, restoring volume to the lips, cheeks, chin, bags under your eyes as well as depressed scars or lines from aging. In addition, Fat Transfer delivers stem cells into the skin, giving even more of an anti-aging boost. When performed properly, a large percentage of the injected fat cells will survive and remain permanently.
Facial Fillers can be quickly administered into the face to restore the look of youth. There are many different types of fillers that are recommended for different areas of the face. Facial fillers vary in the time frame that they last.
As stated in the video above, in situations where patients would like to have Fat Transfer but have recently had fillers, there is in most cases no reason to wait.
